Foster With Gifford

There are many different reasons that the shelter may not be a good environment for a given cat at a particular time: special dietary needs, recovery from surgery, short-term minor illness (such as upper respiratory infection), or they need a break from the stress of living with many other cats in our free-roam environment. Pregnant and nursing mother cats and very young kittens whose immune systems are not yet fully developed also fare better in a foster home environment.

If you are thinking of becoming a foster parent, we will guide you through the process. We hope you will join our other foster parents who have found the experience to be very rewarding.
