We are working in compliance with the Reopening Massachusetts guidelines to safely reopen the Gifford Cat Shelter to our community. We are committed to the safety of our community, including our staff, volunteers, the public, and of course, our cats. We are implementing the following safety policies:
We will ensure there are no more than 10 people at the shelter at any time. For this reason, open adoption hours will not take place at this time.
Adoptions are still taking place by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please review the adoption information and fill in an adoption application form.
We ask that everyone visiting the Gifford Cat Shelter maintain physical distancing by staying at least 6 feet apart from others, both inside and outside our buildings.
Please wear a face mask at all times while at the shelter.
We are implementing extensive cleaning and disinfecting protocols, with increased and frequent attention to the high touch traffic zones (doorknobs, lightswitches, etc.).
We continue to have plenty of hand sanitizer available.
If you or someone you have recently been in close contact with is under quarantine for suspected exposure to COVID-19, we ask that you refrain from visiting the shelter.
Stay safe and healthy!
